Upload your photo and any clothing item. Closet puts it on you — then tells you exactly how it fits.
How Closet works
From photo to outfit in under a minute. Here's what happens at each step.
Build your style profile
Before your first try-on, spend 60 seconds telling Closet how you like to dress. This isn't just preference data — it's the context our system uses to make every result personal to you.
- Fit preference — from oversized and baggy to slim and fitted
- What you gravitate toward — minimalist, streetwear, vintage, smart casual, and more
- Colours and palettes you actually wear
- Body measurements (optional) — adds sizing accuracy to your analysis
You only set this once. Every try-on after that is already personalised.
Upload your photo
A clear, well-lit photo of yourself is the foundation of everything. The better the photo, the more accurate your result.
- Full body or half body — Closet needs to see your proportions
- Face the camera directly, arms relaxed slightly away from your body
- Plain or simple background — nothing busy behind you
- Natural, even lighting — avoid harsh shadows or strong backlight
- Wear fitted clothes in your base photo so your shape reads clearly
Add the clothing you want to try on
Upload up to 4 pieces at once. You can try on a full outfit in one go — top, bottom, jacket, whatever you're considering.
- Product photos, flat-lays, model shots, and screenshots all work
- Pulled from Instagram, a brand site, a thrift store post — anything
- Add a name and any details you know (fabric, brand, fit) for sharper results
- Clean product images with minimal background give the most accurate try-on
Closet can also identify what a garment is from the image alone — including brand, cut, fabric type, and fit — even if you don't tell it anything.
See yourself wearing it
Closet generates a photorealistic image of you — your face, your body, your proportions — wearing the clothing you uploaded. This isn't a filter or an overlay. It's a fully rendered image built around you.
- Your identity is preserved exactly as it appears in your photo
- The garment is rendered with realistic draping, fabric, and fit
- Multiple items are combined into a complete outfit in one image
- Takes around 20–40 seconds to generate
Get your fit report
Alongside the image, Closet produces a detailed analysis of how each item actually works on your body — not in general, but for you specifically.
- A fit score out of 10 for each item
- Specific observations about your proportions, colouring, and how the garment interacts with them
- A clear verdict — Strong yes, Works with styling, or Skip it
- Sizing notes if you provided measurements
- An outfit synergy score when you try on multiple pieces together
- One final stylist's note — the most important thing to know
Shop the look
Once your try-on is done, Closet automatically searches for each item across major retailers. It uses what it identified about the garment — not just what you typed — to find the most accurate results.
- Results across ASOS, Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Nordstrom, Depop, SSENSE, and more
- Searches are specific to each garment, not a generic category
- Click any result to go straight to the retailer
Your photos are never stored
Everything you upload is processed in real time and immediately discarded. Closet holds nothing. There is no database of user photos, no account required, and nothing persists after you close the page. Your images go in, your results come out, and that's the end of it.
